A Personal Announcement
On Friday, March 3, my family found out that my wife, Karen, is expecting baby number 2. Though we originally thought she was six weeks into it, a visit to the doctor revealed she is actually five weeks along. Obviously, it is very early in the pregnancy and anything can happen, but we decided we wanted to go ahead and announce it, as God is in control and will bring about His intended purpose.
We are once again amazed to follow the development of that little child growing in my wife's belly. It is one thing to talk about philosophies regarding whether or not the fetus is a child. It is quite another thing to know it experientially.
I am amazed as I read about some of the developmental processes that have already taken place. For example, at thirty seven days (today), not only is the baby's heart already beating, but all four chambers are already developing, both jaws are formed, the lung and pancreas buds, the lenses on the eyes, both halves of the baby's brain, as well as the arms and legs are developing. A tiny liver is already formed. All of this in a tiny human that measures about .3 inches long and weighs less than a single human eyelash. My friends, if you can't see this as miraculous, your worldview is just way too small.
Please pray for us as we may come to mind. Thanks!

Congratulations, David!
Congratulations to you and Karen. That's exciting news. We're expecting our second as well, so we have much in common.
Congrats! What a joy to know that the Lord is hedging your little one behind and before and created fearfully and wonderfully for His divine purposes.
Congrats.
We threw up a link and a quick post post so hopefully a few will come by and give it a read. Your description / reminder of the everyday miricle that is pregnacy.
