Renquist expected to resign today
Speculation is that Chief Justice William Renquist will resign today in exactly 10 minutes from the time of this post at 4:55 PM EST. I guess we'll see if that's right.

UPDATE [7-9-05]: Obviously, this did not play out as some thought. The latest is that the resignation is imminent, though uncertain regarding timing:

Has he resigned yet? At least he didn't get "The Pelican Brief" treatment.
Ha! Yeah...at least. I haven't heard that he has. I wasn't sure that he would do it in the timetable that was predicted, but I am a little surprised he hasn't yet.
I think he is screwing with everyone. He may never resign.
