have a blessed christmas

we leave tomorrow for mississippi to visit family. as a result, i'm not sure how much blogging i will get to do, so i want to make sure i take this opportunity to wish you a very blessed and safe christmas.

in a year when christmas is under assault like never before, let's remember this is the time we celebrate the birth of Christ, the Lord. perhaps these attacks will keep us from taking our freedoms for granted as we realize that many would strip them from us if given the opportunity. may you celebrate like never before and experience all the blessings He has for you this season.

be safe.

Who, exactly, is trying to get you to stop celebrating Christmas?
"...this is the time we celebrate the birth of Christ, the Lord."
No, this is the time that YOU (and other Christians) celebrate Christmas in this way.
What freedoms are being taken from you?

Sorry if the tone of the above seems angry, but I can't see how Christians can feel persecuted in this country. If you think it's difficult being a Christian in this country, think what it's like not being one.

I accept your good wishes as you meant them, and I offer good wishes to you and yours as well.

actually, I never said Christians were being persecuted. I said Christmas was under assault in that some people this year, more than ever, are trying to make sure that all things Christmas are removed from the public. Whereas many Jewish and Muslim religious symbols have been prominently displayed in public, it has been declared unlawful for many Christmas symbols to be treated equally. If you doubt that, you've not been paying attention to the news. Have a good whatever you celebrate.
